Cycle Routes in Yamanashi

1. Otsuki Five Passes

Kanaya - Futtsu - Central Boso - Shirahama - Tateyama - Kanaya (114 km loop, road)

Access: Starts & finishes at Otsuki Station.

This is an excellent route through the mountains north of Otsuki, crossing five passes. The roads are quiet and the scenery stunning.

2. Tokyo 2020 Olympic road race course (men's)

Starts at Musashinomori Park > Doshi > Lake Yamanaka > two loops near Mt. Fuji (one includes Mikuni Pass) > Fuji International Speedway (234 km, road)

Access: Nearest station to start is Tama Station

The first part of the course follows busy roads out of Tokyo, but once you reach Yamanashi, there is some great riding.
